MONT BELVIEU & CONWAY AVERAGE THURSDAY PROPANE PRICES

at a glance During the latest mid-month period, prices at Mont Belvieu, Texas, decreased. The posted prices decreased 3.125 cents/gal, from July to August, and spot prices decreased 3.5 cents. Conway, Kansas, postings decreased 5.44 cents/gal and spots decreased 6.75 cents over the month.

at a glance Canada’s primary underground propane inventories increased by 48.5% in July, according to the Canada Energy Regulator (CER). The total represented a month-to-month increase of 367.8 Mcm. Compared to a year earlier, stocks were higher, with 213.1 Mcm, or 23.3%, more product on hand. (Editor’s Note: Due to BPN’s publishing schedule, July inventory data is the latest available from the CER.)

at a glance United States propane stocks experienced an 11.485 MMbbl increase from July to August. East Coast stocks increased 829,000 bbl, the Midwest increased 2.072 MMbbl, the Gulf Coast increased 7.967 MMbbl, and the Rocky Mountain/West Coast increased 616,000 bbl. Compared to the same time in August 2025, the August 2026 U.S. stocks were 16.362 MMbbl higher.
