EDITOR'S LETTER

Managing Editor

“You’re not supposed to play favorites,” people often say, as if we haven’t been asked to pick a favorite color, animal, season, book or movie since we were old enough to make such decisions. I understand the sentiment behind the statement, but I would be lying if I said that I didn’t occasionally play favorites when I shouldn’t.

I truly love all the RV PRO special honoree sections equally, but the November issue and our 40 Under 40 recognition hold a special place in my heart. Maybe it’s because we have the opportunity to choose the honorees from an impressive pool of nominees, but I suspect it’s likely due to the response we get: people asking when they can nominate someone six-plus months in advance, eager to get their submission in; honorees expressing genuine shock, excitement and joy; and event attendees thanking us for recognizing the next generation of leaders in the industry. It’s an undertaking that requires all RV PRO hands on deck, with lots of moving parts and no small amount of blood, sweat and adrenaline — and I look forward to it every year.

Each 40 Under 40 class is a unique mix of up-and-comers from all parts of the RV industry, and the Class of 2026 is no different. We’re thrilled to recognize sales managers, CEOs, co-founders, marketing managers, engineers and more with industry experience spanning as many as 21 years. Check out each honoree’s profile starting on page 34. We’ll celebrate with them in person later this month during the RV Dealers Association’s Convention/Expo in Las Vegas.

Our November issue also features Soaring Eagle’s truck campers on page 20 and advice for keeping your dealership operations running smoothly, beginning on page 60. On page 16, learn about Virginia-based Nomadic Camper & RV Repair’s six years in business and how fixing water damage is one of its specialties.

It’s been one week since Open House in Elkhart, Indiana, as I write this, and I think I can safely speak for the rest of the RV PRO team in saying we thoroughly enjoyed getting to see so many of you and wish we’d had time to see more. For anyone we missed, please be sure to say hi if you see us in Las Vegas!

As always, thanks for reading!
