How Many Turkeys Can Fit in an RV?
Ever wondered how many Thanksgiving turkeys you could theoretically cram into a Class C motorhome? (No? Well, now you can.)
Using a typical 25-foot Class C motorhome and accounting for the space occupied by beds, cabinets, appliances and other essentials, we estimate you could fit roughly 700 15-pound turkeys inside.
That’s about 10,500 pounds of bird — which means you’d run into a much bigger problem before you ran out of room: weight.
So, technically, your Class C could become a turkey-mobile. Practically? We’d recommend sticking with one turkey and plenty of leftovers.
Starting with model year 2028, new RVs will have grounding monitor interrupters (GMIs). Regardless of where an RV is plugged in (dealership, campground, etc.), if the electrical power source has unaddressed grounding issues, a GMI-equipped RV will not accept power. Whether plugging units into lot pedestals, service bays or conducting pre-delivery inspections (PDIs), compromised power supplies can prevent units from receiving shore power.
To help dealerships navigate this transition smoothly, the RV Industry Association and the cross-industry GMI Task Force — in partnership with the RV Dealers Association — have launched a dedicated resource hub at rvia.org/GMI.
Available resources for dealers include:
- A quick-reference operational guide outlining critical GMI fundamentals and dealership preparation steps
- Detailed overviews of NEC enforcement timelines, GMI functionality and how devices address issues like damaged power cords and improper adapters
- Recommended protocols and best practices for evaluating dealership electrical receptacles and working with licensed electricians to eliminate grounding faults before units arrive

Just Strike It!
Need a fun game to offer customers to take on the road or stock at your campground for visitors? Meet Knöggle. Unlike other “lawn games,” Knöggle allows everyone to join in. And a major plus for RVers: It folds up easily for travel. The setup comes with the game base, a wooden block, 100 10d common nails and a Knöggle Striker. The object of the game is to hit all of your team’s nails into the block first. The full setup is $275; replacement blocks are $45.

Off We Go!
After spending seven years traveling across America by RV with his wife, Cathy, and their dogs, author Jeff Evans learned that some of the best adventures begin with a little uncertainty. Now those years on the road have inspired a new children’s picture-book series.
“Bella & Mandy’s RV Adventures: Off We Go!” was slated for release on Oct. 6 by Twin Tails Press. Written for children ages 3-8, the rhyming picture book introduces young readers to two best friends who couldn’t be more different — and a brand-new life on the road.
